Building Acoustics - Part F5 of the BCA

Noise and Sound Services can carry out noise assessments for proposed residential buildings to comply with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) requirements.
The requirements include internal sound transmission and insulation under Part F5 of the BCA. The Association of Australian Acoustical Consultants (AAAC) also has a useful guideline for Apartments and Townhouses.
This is an Acoustic Rating system and has five different star ratings according to the acoustic performance achieved. The system covers both airborne and impact sound insulation as well as plumbing noise. See www.aaac.org.au

To improve sound quality and speech intelligibility reverberation control is important, We can carry out assessments, for example, to office receptions, open plan offices, restaurants, call centres, and school halls to provide advice on improved sound quality either in the planning stage or retro-fit stage.
